11:11 LIVE CHENNAI | 3rd APRIL 2019, RADIO ROOM
The first stop for the 11:11 Live Tour was in Manny and Ajmal's home city of Chennai. Held at the award winning Radio Room, Chennai’s favourite live music bar the event was a rip roaring success. Packed to the rafters brimming with energy, the audience enjoyed every moment of the 60 mins showcase with original orchestral renditions of 11:11 and reworks of classic house tunes. The show closed with world champion turntablist, DJ Skip spinning a very special 11:11 remix set. The atmosphere was electric and the audience soaked in every second of the evening as history was made with the first ever classical electronic music showcase in India.
11:11 LIVE in Chennai with Manny and Ajmal featured the Madras Strings (members of the Madras Chamber Orchestra), Nishadhan, Vivin Kuruvilla, Rachna Ramdin and Bruce Lee.
An immersive sensory experience, CONTRAST is a non-conformist approach to transform the standard clubbing experience into an elevated high through the interplay of light and dark with an intricate sense of audio visual harmony. An experimental affair animated visuals, light, and technology with music and narrative poetry.
Concept
Contrast is an AV project - an exploration of ones deepest selves through music and high contrast, tonal still and moving elements as a tool for social commentary of the world.
With dark and distinctive elements, dramatic shadows and movements that are buoyed by stark lighting effects sometimes in vibrant colour. Unusual visuals that break the rules through composition, lighting, reflections, angles and framing. Contrast is a musical and visual sensory experience.
Contrast is designed to create a distinctive mood that is filled with intrigue and drama and is open to interpretation.

MANNY - A decade and a half at the frontline of heavyweight club sonic. Constantly breaking boundaries of sound and inspiring a new generation of DJs, Manny has held a commanding presence over the underground dance music scene.
Acclaimed for his innovative approach to dance music, Manny’s musical contributions has proved to be a game changer laying the foundation for dance music in South India and becoming an industry icon in his home city. His last album, 11:11 hit 8 Beatport top 50 new releases charts in its first week. Also, the core of India’s favourite live electronica act BLANK, he is one of Chennai's most revered underground music exports.

BlackFern takes inspiration from all forms of visual art and adds her own creative flair to transform the visual experience into a reflective story. With Contrast she also weaves in philosophy with moving imagery to tie in the whole experience into a creative interpretation.
